Carries out mechanical maintenance and repair of rotating and stationary equipment within the NGL, Storage and Loading facilities, jetty, cooling water and fire systems, fresh water and desalination units, and road tanker loading facilities.
Obtains 'Permit to Work'. Organizes requisite tools and consumables/spare parts as required to carry out works and proceeds to job site.
Carries out planned preventive maintenance checks on operational equipment.
Carries out planned routine maintenance of plant and equipment according to schedules derived from manufacturer's recommendations.
Carries out corrective maintenance and repairs, indicated by regular predictive maintenance checks or failures of equipment and systems.
Rebuilds equipment including replacement of defective components or repairing/reconditioning as appropriate.
Ensures clearances and tolerances are within acceptable limits using a wide range of precision instruments and carries out the reinstallation and testing of equipment through various stages.
Participates in annual shutdown of major equipment turnarounds/repairs of specific equipment items.
Carries out overhauls on small and medium size equipment and rotating machinery.
Carries out similar or related duties in accordance with Safety and Fire regulations, permit to work procedures, observing good housekeeping and work practices on site and in the workshop, and standing by with senior technicians during start-up and shutdown of critical equipment.
Required to qualify to Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
Should be able to prepare Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Report to obtain work permits.
