About the job
As a SAS Cloud Architect, you will apply expertise in technical architecture and cloud technologies to guide and support sales and business development towards successful outcomes. Additionally, you will design customer solutions and repeatable propositions, applying technical concepts to produce credible and cost-effective architectures that meet the requirements and expectations of prospects and customers.
As a Systems Engineer / Cloud Architect, you will:
- Work together with new and existing customers to identify and define customer business challenges and advise on how to get them solved.
- Identify appropriate applications, tools, and solutions for targeted accounts.
- Prepare technical demonstrations, proof of concepts, and presentations based on client needs.
- Collaborate with customers/partners in developing Minimum Viable Products.
- Build industry-based showcases to demonstrate the SAS solution in addressing customer business challenges.
- Become technically fluent in SAS solutions and any required supporting products for knowledge sharing, create value cases, and demonstration purposes.
- Understand, utilize, and communicate best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally.
- Demonstrate and showcase to external customers to drive the SAS business value.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical related quantitative field.
- At least 2 years of working experience in the Architecture or Engineering area.
- Experience with Data Engineering and Big Data Platforms such as Hadoop, BigQuery, EMR, etc.
- Programming skills in R, Python, Lua, Java, C, C++, C#, HTML, etc. are also relevant.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
- Familiarity with CI/CD approaches.
- Familiarity with REST and web services design.
- Familiarity with Open-Source software within data analytics and AI.
- Familiarity with DevOps, MLOps, and ModelOps implementations. Familiarity with main CSP services (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications
- Architectural knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
- Experience in the design of cloud solutions – preferably from presales through to implementation.
- SAS programming skills.
- Public/Private cloud Machine Learning architecture.
