What does the job involve?

Subsea & Marine Modification Projects is looking for a project leader. In your day-to-day work as project leader, you will represent Equinor towards some of our most important projects in Brazil. Subsea & Marine Modification Projects has global responsibility for subsea and marine (e.g. flowlines, valves, subsea systems, umbilicals, mooring lines) integrity and lifetime projects, including projects with Equinor requirements. Execute task forces within SMTS scope.

You are utilizing your knowledge independently to solve highly complex tasks with a short to medium-term tactical impact/risk. You address key business challenges that align with Equinor's short and long-term strategy by providing specialist support to your team and others. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across other areas, and towards key stakeholders from partners or external parties. You regularly navigate conflicting agendas and may lead negotiations with senior stakeholders. You resolve challenges, deliver improvements, and contribute to shaping best practices. You promote change initiatives, demonstrate flexibility to adopt new highly complex activities/ways of working, and advise others. What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

  • Deliver on project goals within the framework related to HSE, scope/quality, time and cost.
  • Responsible for subsea and marine (e.g. flowlines, valves, subsea systems, umbilicals, mooring lines) integrity and lifetime projects, including projects with Equinor requirements. Execute task forces within SMTS scope.
  • Secure professional project management in accordance with priorities and Extended Modification processes and requirements.
  • Share experience and learning across projects.
  • Improve performance.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Leader in project management.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with eligibility to hold CREA.
  • Fluent Portuguese and English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience from projects or modifications.
  • Experience from subsea, operations, and maintenance are also relevant.
  • Knowledge and ownership of Equinor values and leadership expectations.
  • Stakeholder management, strong collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Team player. Desires to set directions, motivate, and empower the project team.
  • Strong HSE focus with a commercial mindset.
  • Risk awareness and management.
