This position is specific for Installation Engineering support for Suriname Drilling operations. The purpose of the Installation Engineer is to be the focal point of contact with the customer to ensure proper planning and execution of services related to offshore projects. An SDS Installation Engineer is a critical component to ensuring proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. An Installation Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: field installation support, conducting Rig Surveys, technical documentation, product design review and validation, technical planning, customer interface, project execution, product and system troubleshooting, performance testing, product maintenance, repair and refurbishment. Office environment requires sitting, operating a computer, walking and some lifting. Hands-on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing.
Provide full engineering support, through rotation in country (Suriname), to all Subsea Drilling related operations.
Closely work with Lead Engineer, Project Manager (PM) and Technical Manager based out of Houston and lead/attend all DWOPs, TRRs and PROG reviews.
Follow and be responsible for delivering all engineering deliverables per SDS NAM Engineering workflow guidelines.
Occasionally travel to Houston for customer interface/meetings and/or training.
Closely work with the PM, Lead Engineer, and planning team to ensure seamless planning and delivery of hardware and tools in country.
Understand implication of variations in customer, code or contract compliance.
Availability for international travel: Suriname and Houston.
