Software Engineer, Money Engineering (Backend)

DoorDash is building the world's most reliable on-demand, logistics engine for delivery! We're looking for experienced engineers to join our fast-growing engineering team to help us develop a critical financial data platform that supports DoorDash’s financial products and ecosystem.

About the Role

Money team engineers solve key business and financial problems with elegant technical solutions. You'll operate our financial backend services and architecture that support all business and will be challenged to consider the big picture -- collaborating cross-functionally, as well as evaluating and executing on trade-offs to maximize business impact for the company. You will be part of a team to drive the evolution of the system to be a world-class big data platform with top notch reliability, scalability, usability, and data quality.

• Develop, release and run large-scale data systems.
• Develop and define the backend architecture and tech stack for the financial and accounting needs.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability and security for our financial data platform.

We're excited about you because you have...

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with big data or large scale database systems.
• Experiences with financial or accounting software.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin.
