Software Engineer II

The Software Engineer II is responsible for coding, testing, and implementing solutions for Accruent’s Platform. As a Software Engineer II, you will be critical in developing robust and scalable shared services using .NET (C#) and React (when applicable) and related technologies. Your primary focus will be designing and implementing backend services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our applications' high performance and responsiveness.

How You'll Make a Difference

1. Design and implement reusable and efficient backend services.
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement innovative solutions.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
4. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.
5. Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to backend and front-end development.
6. Collaborate with the QA team to perform code reviews and ensure high code quality and software reliability.
7. Develop user-friendly web applications using React.js and related frameworks, libraries, and tools.
8. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
9. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, task estimation, and regular team meetings.
10. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment.

What You Bring To The Table

1. Fluent/Advanced English skills.
2. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
3. Experience as a professional software developer.
4. Solid understanding and experience with Test Driven Development.
5. Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong focus on modern design patterns.
6. Experience with .NET Framework 3.5 and the latest MS Visual Studio tools.
7. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
8. Experience with front-end frameworks such as Redux, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
9. Experience with RDBMS products like Oracle or SQL Server.
10. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues in a timely manner.
12. Excellent communication in English and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
13. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
14. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum) is preferred.

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

1. Experience with Azure Cloud services.
2. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
3. Familiarity with identity and access management tools like Okta.
4. Experience with API Management (APIM) solutions.
5. Knowledge of Spacelift for CI/CD automation.
6. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
7. Experience with AI and Prompt Engineering.
8. Familiarity with GitHub Copilot.
