Your role and responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer for the CIO Hybrid Cloud Z Platform & Strategy Team, you will be responsible for supporting Middleware (CICS, IMS, DB2) in a z/OS mainframe environment. The candidate must have experience with current versions of the product in the market and understand the tools and applications for infrastructure support. In addition to daily steady-state support, the professional should focus on innovation, such as automation of repetitive tasks. The work will be performed in the Agile model, in a cooperative environment, interfacing with global teams. You will maintain, support, and help to enhance the multi-technology monitoring and automated remediation systems which support all IBM’s internal applications and systems. You'll have the opportunity to identify points of improvement in technical processes and propose new ways to do it through automation, help our customers resolve their pain points, and, through co-creation, define solutions that improve the efficiency of their operations.
