Carrying out genetic analyses in order to meet production and quality specifications.
Perform the different exams assigned to the Sector with a focus on high complexity exams (example: NGS), according to the technical procedures in which the employee has been trained.
Support low-complexity tests (e.g., qPCR and Sanger) when necessary.
Perform the validations of inputs, equipment and new protocols according to the guidelines of the coordination.
Propose Development Projects of new products and actively participate in their conception with the RDI Sector.
Organize the work routine with the printing of work maps and the making of the routine mirror to be carried out.
Keep all the record in the mirror of the routine (physical or digital document) of the items used, as well as their batches and corresponding validities, according to the structure established by the Coordination of the area.
Keep freezers, refrigerators, cabinets, drawers, shelves and countertops organized, keeping each input stored at the temperature recommended by the manufacturer (ambient, refrigerated or frozen).
Inspect the inputs monthly for the expiration date; inform the Sector Coordinator in advance about the expiration date and discard it when necessary.
Clean and disinfect the work area (workbench) before and after the routine, following the specific procedure.
Qualifications
Knowledge in Molecular Biology.
Ability to execute and train people in the following methodologies: Basic techniques in molecular biology such as PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, reverse transcription, extraction, quantification and integrity analysis of nucleic acids from different materials; reaction preparation and analysis of results of gene expression and genotyping techniques (real-time PCR and Open Array) performed on the 7500 Fast and QuantStudio 12K Flex (Thermofisher) equipment; reaction preparation and fragment analysis and sequencing (Sanger method) by capillary electrophoresis, using the 3500 Genetic Analyzer equipment; preparation of NGS library for Ion Torrent, PGM and MiSeq platforms.
Proven experience of at least 12 months in related activities (in an academic and/or private environment).
