We’re looking for a senior Java developer like that to help us build out best-in-class trading platforms.

1. You will work directly with the trading desks, design and oversee deliveries on our electronic trading applications. Everyone in the group is integral to the development and support operation of the platform as a whole.
2. The platform is key for Brazil business as #1 institutional broker dealer in the country.
3. The platform is sophisticated and demands high caliber developers that can operate as an integral member of the team, as well as self-directed for development execution.
4. Market link technology, specifically understanding of FIX, is an advantage.
5. The core build technology domain includes Java / Oracle / Linux / Maven / GitLab / Scripting / Test Driven Methods & Agile Process / OO Design & principles.

Your team

You will be working within the IT Brazil team based in São Paulo (Ave Faria Lima). We analyze, develop, and deliver global solutions to maintain or change our IT systems with our business counterparts. Overall, being part of the IT development department offers you the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional technology and distinguished financial market professionals.

Work in the hybrid model (3x office and 2x home).

Your expertise

1. Software engineer/developer focused on high-availability, high-performance, and distributed solutions.
2. Strong Java development skills.
3. Experience with Linux/Unix OS.
4. Experience with object-oriented programming, concurrency, multithreading and design patterns, and a clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
5. Knowledge in Brazil trading environment and business.
6. Comfortable with standard SDLC tools such as code repository handling in Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and designing, planning, and delivering solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
7. Produce secure and clean code that is stable, operational, consistent, and well-performing.
8. Fluent in Portuguese and English - daily communication with global teams.
9. Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent with a focus in computer science or engineering.
10. Knowledge in Java Spring, C++ and/or Python are not required but very desirable.
11. Experience with low-latency distributed systems development or electronic trading systems (OMS, Marketdata feeders, Risk engines, algos) is a plus.
12. Ability to influence others and advocate for technical excellence, with a high degree of attention to detail.
