Software House Mérida is a growing technology company specializing in software solutions for various industries. They are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize internal product infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency across their systems.
Role Overview:
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and managing internal product infrastructure, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices. Your responsibilities will include managing servers, databases, and support labs while collaborating with development, services, and support teams. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to both internal and external projects, troubleshoot system performance issues, and support customer IT professionals with software installation, upgrades, and configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains/Manages internal product infrastructure ensuring the adherence to company policy and process.
- Assists in the maintenance of the Software Support server, SQL databases, and Support Labs.
- Assists CGM IT, Development, Services, and Support Engineering on various projects, both internal and external, while keeping detailed documentation on work performed and time spent.
- Manages the retrieval, placement, and deconstruction of Customer data to include but not limited to PHI.
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, runs backups and scripts, provides recommendations, and solves customer requests related to or affecting our software products.
- Assists customers IT professionals with installation, upgrade, setup, and configuration of CGM’s software on the customer’s network.
- Determines which issues can be solved and which will need to be escalated to the QA, Product and Development teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with IT Infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and Ctree database platforms.
- Knowledge of System Virtualization, Networking, and other related System Administration.
- Knowledge of the Windows operating system troubleshooting, and understanding of networking as pertains to a SQL server environment and various peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
- Ability to monitor and report system performance on a database server, and Windows Server/Workstation.
- Outstanding customer-facing communication both verbal and written.
- Experience in healthcare IT preferred.
- Certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional, A+, or Network+ is a plus.
- Availability to work On-Call.
