As our Senior Field Service Engineer, you will be part of a global technical knowledge network and will be responsible to provide technical support to our customers on site.

About our Professional Services Team:

You will be part of the Brazil professional services team. Our department is responsible to deliver first class services 24/7. By joining us you will have the opportunity to develop your management, technical, personnel skills on diversified and challenging projects.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinate our business team in order to deliver service scopes, contracts, including supervision or execution of maintenance, assembly, installation and commissioning on several mining/pulp & paper industry sites.

  • Coordinate the execution of service contracts, from the proposal to final delivery and invoicing.

  • Coordinate and lead all field back-office personnel needed for the services execution, including senior high skilled professionals.

  • Coordinate and secure the resolution of warranties and claims.

  • Develop ongoing relationships with customers to secure current, future contracts and business.

  • Coordinate technical support to customers, FLSmidth Backoffice teams and our suppliers.

  • Coordinate advanced external and internal training.

  • Coordinate the business strategy implementation.

  • Coordinate projects, contracts execution, negotiation with customers, control and action over cost and margin control and report P&L.

  • Coordinate support from Brazil to the FLS global service network, cooperating and sharing resources with FLS service and project colleagues globally.

  • Coordinate and ensure resources, utilization, absorption, planning, recruitment and hiring.

  • Revision and elaboration of technical field reports documents and presentations.

  • Revision and elaboration of field administrative reports, documents and presentations.

  • Promote and guarantee a culture of safety, including to our customers and others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering and/or related fields.

  • 10 years' experience working with contracts coordination and leadership experience within maintenance, assembly, installation, upgrades, retrofits and commissioning of equipment in the mining, pulp & paper industry.

  • Field experience is imperative for the role.

  • Solid commercial and negotiation skills.

  • Availability to travel and be at suppliers and customers sites when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and profitability.

  • Hands-on experience in field service or equipment maintenance—preferably in the mining and/or heavy industry.

  • Experience working with OEM equipment is a strong advantage.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols, site inspections, and maintenance procedures in industrial environments.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office - MS Office, MS Project, Outlook.

  • Project management experience is highly desirable.

  • Advanced to fluent English skills; knowledge of the Spanish language preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, alignment equipment, hydraulic systems, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Experience with reporting tools, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and digital maintenance platforms is a plus.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and documentation.
