Job Description Summary:

The Stills Business Development Director is responsible for leading transformational initiatives with an integrated business perspective for Stills categories in LATAM, and accountable for ensuring business results for the assigned brands in the region. The incumbent will oversee diverse projects aiming to create sustainable and profitable growth either by increasing brands topline and/or finding more efficient ways to create value.

Function Specific Activities:

  • Work with category, franchise, and finance teams to define the optimal business and operating model of Stills categories to drive profitability and boost growth.
  • Lead business development projects aimed at creating incremental growth for Stills brands in line with Category strategies and needs.
  • Continuously revisit brands P&L to identify productivity opportunities and convert them into tangible interventions to increase business profitability.
  • Collaborate with Stills network to speed up the delivery of brand, commercial, and execution strategies in the market.
  • Challenge current end-to-end business reality and bring alternative ways of creating and capturing value.
  • Bring an “outside-in” perspective by constantly assessing external partners, technologies, and processes to improve current business.
  • Document business cases to accelerate knowledge sharing across the Network.

Position Impact:

This position will work directly and in close collaboration with different functions and regions in LATAM and internationally. Its influence in making things happen will be crucial for the success of the position. As a single contributor, it will have to work through the network.

Related Work Experience:

  • Proven experience performing business strategy.
  • Strong financial background (P&L analysis, defining Business Cases, etc.).
  • Systemic thinking to integrate different elements into a holistic view.
  • Proficient communication to build powerful business stories.
  • Strong collaboration and positive influence skills.
  • Preferred experience in Stills business (or similar value chain models) and Franchise operations.
  • Commercial strategy, route to market, and revenue growth management.
  • Ideal if the candidate has worked in fully integrated business operations.
  • Private equity and/or investment funds experience.
  • At least 12+ years of experience in these areas in roles of increasing responsibility and scope.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Business Engineering.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Technical Skills:

  • Marketing Concepts: Knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT Analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans.
  • Brand Equity: Knowledge of procedures used to drive increases in volume and brand equity (e.g., marketing programs, licensed/specialty merchandise and/or properties).
  • Marketing Operating Strategies: Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing operating strategies (e.g., media planning, pricing strategies, trade/consumer promotions) used in the execution of marketing plans.
  • Marketing Research Application: Ability to leverage research results into actionable marketing and business building initiatives.
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Knowledge and ability to use not only marketing but finance, technical, operations, and supply chain tools/information to identify and strengthen opportunities.
