We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team.

You have more than 5+ years of professional experience in the Database Engineering field. You are motivated, talented, and committed to the job at hand and your team. - Minimum of 5 years experience working as a DBA, with experience in operational and production environments, ideally at least 2 different companies.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with AWS and Aurora MySQL.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Hands-on experience in managing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for databases, such as replication, failover clusters, and backups.
- Hands-on experience in database security, including user access management, encryption, and auditing practices.
- Ability to collaborate directly with developers and system administrators to ensure database best practices in application development and production operations.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus) for ensuring database health, and identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating database tasks and writing utilities to support DBA functions.
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Scrum processes, including incident tracking, documentation, and participation in team ceremonies.
- Ability to conduct database reviews, mentor junior DBAs, and contribute to improving database management processes.
- Must be available and online during core business hours until 12 PM CST / 1 PM EST to provide support and respond to incidents.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to automate routine database tasks and deployments is a plus.
- AWS certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, ElasticSearch, and Redis is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
