Senior Data Engineer

Job description

FCamara Europe is seeking a new Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This role will involve working on exciting projects with a client in the banking sector.

Main responsibilities

• Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the lifecycle, utilising reconciliation processes to validate data quality.
• Monitor and optimise data processing and storage solutions for performance and efficiency.
• Document data processes, workflows, and system architecture clearly and comprehensively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues as they arise.

Requirements and skills

• Over 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong foundation in data engineering principles and best practices.
• More than 4 years of hands-on experience with SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience working with Python.
• Extensive experience (2+ years) with Azure Data Factory and data warehousing solutions.
• Fluent in English, with a C1 level proficiency.

• A background in financial services or banking data is advantageous but not required.
