In this role you should support Apex to develop the world-class procurement process, monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality, delivery times, or inventory. You also will support the team to develop the strategy of procurement, guiding complexity reduction, risk mapping and savings.
Responsibilities and assignments
Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals;
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, supporting services and stock levels;
Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs;
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for the company;
Support payment terms negotiation to bring the best cash flow to the business;
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers that can bring the best products with more competitive prices;
Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships;
Collaborate with key people to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company;
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements;
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs;
Devise and use different source strategies based on strategic risk mapping;
Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts;
Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results;
Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities;
Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and global commodities managers to improve business;
Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
Requirements and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, business management, or a relevant field.
Graduate Degree preferred in Logistic, Administration, Negotiation, Supply Chain.
Spanish (is an advantage).
3+ years diversified and progressive work experience in procurement, with multiple international stakeholders in a multinational environment;
Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts and continuous improvement efforts;
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market;
Talent in negotiations and networking;
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers;
Ability to manage multiple priorities within deadline and prioritize effectively, while delivering high-quality work;
Solution-oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines;
Advanced knowledge of Excel;
Background on Procurement SAP procedures and contract management;
Know how to conduct projects of international scope;
Influence and engagement, to ensure that the company's strategic plan is aligned with the other areas and coordinated for its execution according to the Apex objectives.
