Who will you be working with?
We are seeking a skilled SCRUM Master to lead the Agile process for our cloud engineering team.
How will you make a difference?
You will play a critical role in facilitating Agile practices, coordinating with key stakeholders like product owners, cloud architects, and the cloud engineering manager while ensuring the delivery of cloud-based solutions. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to optimize workflows and align cloud engineering efforts with business objectives. Experience in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure, is preferred, and familiarity with tools like Gitlab and Git is essential.
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certification in SCRUM, PMI-ACP, or any recognized Agile framework (Disciplined Agile certification is a plus).
- Strong experience as a SCRUM Master, preferably within cloud engineering or software development environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, and Lean, with experience in applying them to cloud-based projects.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in using Gitlab, Git, Jira, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to interact effectively with cloud engineers, product owners, cloud architects, and the cloud engineering manager.
- Proven ability to lead teams in Agile practices, facilitate cross-team communication and manage dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and removing impediments.
- Ability to track and analyze Agile metrics, such as velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint health, to support continuous improvement.
What will your typical day look like?
- Lead Agile ceremonies for the cloud engineering team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with product owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Work with cloud architects and the cloud engineering manager to ensure technical alignment and that architectural considerations are included in sprint planning.
- Facilitate collaboration between the cloud engineering team and cross-functional teams, including security, DevOps, and external vendors, to ensure smooth integration and delivery of cloud services.
- Guide the cloud engineering team in leveraging tools such as Gitlab and Git within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and code management processes.
- Help the team follow Agile best practices within the context of cloud technologies, ensuring the effective use of cloud resources, including AWS and Azure services.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks that impact the team’s progress, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders when necessary.
- Support the team in utilizing Gitlab and Git for code versioning, automation, and deployment, ensuring continuous integration and delivery are optimized.
- Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down charts) and sprint health to provide insights and drive continuous improvement within the cloud engineering team.
- Foster an environment of self-organization and continuous improvement, coaching team members on Agile principles and best practices.
- Ensure transparent communication of project timelines, risks, and dependencies to key stakeholders, including product owners, cloud architects, and the cloud engineering manager.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to ensure alignment between the cloud engineering team’s efforts and broader business goals.
