About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Resident Manager to lead operations at Villa Dama by airnest, a charming 3-star boutique hotel located in Santa Brígida, Gran Canaria. Perched atop a mountain with breathtaking views, the hotel features 9 beautifully designed rooms and offers a personalised and intimate guest experience.

This is a live-in position, with accommodation and food included as part of the package. The Resident Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, guest services, maintenance, and overall property management, with the support of housekeeping, maintenance, and the broader airnest team. Our goal is to elevate Villa Dama into a reference for boutique hospitality in the Canary Islands, making this an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Guest Experience:

• Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
• Handle guest communications before, during, and after their stay, addressing inquiries, special requests, and concerns promptly.
• Offer concierge-style assistance, providing recommendations on local attractions, dining, and activities.

Hotel Operations:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of Villa Dama, ensuring the highest cleanliness and presentation standards for rooms, common areas, and facilities.
• Supervise housekeeping and maintenance teams, ensuring timely room turnovers and swift resolution of any issues.
• Monitor inventory of guest supplies and liaise with suppliers to maintain stock levels.

Maintenance & Property Management:

• Ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of the hotel, working closely with contractors and maintenance personnel.
• Identify areas for property improvements and implement solutions to enhance the guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Reservations & Administration:

• Manage bookings, cancellations, and modifications using airnest’s property management system.
• Process payments, issue invoices, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
• Assist with reporting and updating operational procedures to improve efficiency.

Leadership & Development:

• Work closely with the airnest management team to implement and improve operational strategies.
• Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and hospitality.
• Identify opportunities for growth and take ownership of initiatives that enhance the hotel’s reputation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably in boutique hotels or luxury accommodations.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to live on-site and be hands-on with all aspects of hotel management.
