Job Summary: This position will be based in Punto Polanco, Mexico.
Be responsible for developing and maintaining a strategy, and managing a Category Excellence Team to source a competitive and cost-effective limited portfolio of raw materials across all manufacturing plants, in accordance with GP policies and procedures, while meeting financial and non-financial targets. This position will manage the Agricrop and Grains & Sweeteners Category for LATAM.
Responsibilities/Description:
Knowledge of Procurement:
- Excellent Procurement experience in your responsible products; and working in a matrix environment.
- Recognized expert in the area of responsibility with product depth and contacts in key supply markets.
- Strong knowledge of business practices and financial concepts/impact/analyses.
Procurement Best Practices:
- Excellent AT Kearney 7 step strategic sourcing methodology for global.
- Global Procurement policy.
- Ariba e-sourcing Project Management.
- Strong project management, people leadership skills, and presentation skills. People management is needed for the position with direct reports.
- CPSM or SPSM or related certification in supply chain or procurement excellence.
Supplier Relations Management:
- Excellent experience identifying, developing, and promoting new and existing supplier relationships for global areas.
- Engaging cross-functionally (R&D, Commercial, Creation, Production, Quality, etc.).
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English and global interaction leadership.
- Expert in planning and managing complex and new projects.
- Understands matrix organizations and proactively leads through influence.
- Skillful in representing IFF outside the organization.
- Leverages talents in a team and influences and manages dynamics in a team.
- Understands dealing with ambiguity and can explain this to others.
Coaching & Mentoring:
- Strong mentoring skills and ability to coach team members.
- Ability to engage, motivate people, and challenge the organization.

Requirements:
- Background: Bachelor's degree or greater.
- Experience: > 10 years.
- Average time in position: > 7 years.
- Experience with PMO will be a plus.
- Training/Certifications: CPSM or SPSM or related certification in supply chain or procurement excellence.
