Job Description
The Recruiter I ensures that staffing requirements are met to identify, attract and onboard top talent to efficiently and effectively meet dynamic business needs. This position is responsible for working with various clients to assess hiring needs and interview candidates for positions.
Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with implementation and administration of recruitment programs
- Receive, screen, and file incoming resumes, background, and reference checks
- Conduct initial screening interviews, telephone interviews, and/or face-to-face interviews with prospective applicants
- Assist with recommendations to hiring manager on candidate hire, and partner with appropriate stakeholders to offer competitive compensation packages and facilitate negotiation with candidates
- Utilize various resources - internet, community organizations, print media, formal/informal networks, colleges, trade associations - to source qualified candidates directly and indirectly
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports on all phases of the recruitment process, working within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS tools
- Maintain consistent standards for all candidates and ensure compliance with all local hiring and recruitment rules and regulations
- Responsible for developing and applying a deep knowledge of job specifications to include experience, skills, and behavioral competencies necessary for success in each role
- Promote the company image to candidates and external service providers and ensure that the company is represented in the most accurate and appropriate manner to all candidates, personally driving the highest standards of ethical behavior for all involved in the recruitment processes
Candidate Profile
- Less than two years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Self-starter, sense of urgency, works well under pressure, ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Professional demeanor and ability to develop relationships
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
Career Level Description
Executes routine tasks at the entry level of the Professional Career Band. Uses existing procedures to resolve routine or standard problems. Typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work tasks. Receives instructions, guidance, and direction from others.
