Punjabi Medically Certified Interpreter - California

Are you fluent in both English and Punjabi? Do you have experience working as an interpreter? LTC is an interpreting agency looking for contracted Punjabi language interpreters in California. You will accept appointments on an as-needed basis. The ideal interpreter has 3 years of experience interpreting and has experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education, and workplace settings, among others.

Here is what you get to do:

• Provide on-site, in-person interpretation.
• Be a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
• Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.

Requirements:

• Interpreting certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience; medical certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience.
• Ability to keep accurate records.

As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC. Rather, you will function as a vendor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis.

Candidate must live within commuting distance of California.
