The Brazil Retail Operations & Initiatives (RO&I) team is looking for a passionate, talented Product Manager to support fellow PMs by driving complex product requirements. The PM will work as a cross-functional product manager, supporting different Supply Chain domains in the planning of strategic initiatives, owning self-contained and complex requirements. To succeed in this role, a person needs to navigate the corporation to identify opportunities, benchmark across internal and external teams, influence the organization to deploy solutions, and partner with tech teams. Fluent English is required.

Key Job Responsibilities

Projects for this role include proposing product improvements with the following responsibilities:

  1. Prioritize effectively product investments considering development effort and product benefit.
  2. Write product requirements, capturing cross-functional inputs (Tax, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Business) for a successful launch.
  3. Drive alignment between stakeholders with conflicting priorities, capturing inputs and feedback from them along the way.
  4. Scale worldwide solutions by adapting them to Brazil, being an important advocate for Emerging Countries experience and scaling it through business teams.
  5. Drive product adoption post-launch.
  6. You will collaborate with partner teams to ensure that we make data-based decisions toward goals.
  7. Probe numbers and develop a deep understanding of the KPIs affected by Supply Chain launches.
  8. Refine requirements during development whenever needed, partnering with tech teams to ensure a successful launch within the bandwidth reserved for the project.
  9. Effectively communicate progress across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a background of strong product/program management, demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of customers and the environment, be very self-driven, enjoy dealing with ambiguity, have a track record of on-time delivery of cross-functional projects, and have the ability to ask the right questions. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to make decisions based on data and is able to influence multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and business acumen, and experience managing reporting and analysis. Great communication skills and a bias for action will be essential to your success. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and business problems to a successful result.

The Retail Operations and Initiatives (RO&I) value proposition is to transform routines into an incredible experience to be the most innovative and efficient retailer in Brazil. We identify, develop, and manage a set of scalable initiatives to grow Amazon Brazil Retail Key Inputs related to selection, productivity, and profitability increase. Our goal is to eliminate, automate, or offshore low value-add activities that are holding us back from improving the Brazilian customer shopping experience. Our goal is to accelerate the flywheel and delight our customers by promoting synergies throughout the retail business. We bring solutions that overcome coordination issues, scale best practices, and ensure continuous improvements in our processes and systems.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Sao Paulo, SP, BRA

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Tableau, Essbase, or Cognos).
  • Experience performing financial or other quantitative analyses.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in the delivery of major new products or services.
  • Experience in balancing conflicting priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
