We are searching for the best talent for IMSC External Warehousing Category (Americas Region) to be in São Paulo or São José dos Campos.
Purpose: Procurement is a key enabler in driving and supporting Johnson & Johnson’s growth. Being a part of the procurement organization, the incumbent in this role will be driving and/or supporting all aspects of spend performance such as reliability, innovation, cost, supply network readiness, and corporate citizenship goals while collaborating with the wider procurement and supply chain community.
The Procurement Manager will support all aspects of strategic & tactical sourcing initiatives for Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, including regional delivery and manufacturing warehousing spend, and support some additional x-category stakeholder/supplier activities relating packaging & chemicals spend. This spend is highly sophisticated in nature and requires a close collaboration with partners within the business to implement.
You will be responsible for:
- Create and implement sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness, gain alignment from partners, lead cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implement appropriate supplier risk analysis.
- Proactively engage business partners to develop and implement sourcing strategy, in particular with Innovative Medicine supply chain and regional teams, to guarantee the best sourcing solution to meet current / future business and operational requirements.
- Develop strategy through Business needs assessment, Market intelligence, understanding of external market trends, supplier evaluations and sourcing choices.
- Develop a supplier regional portfolio strategy to leverage supplier agreements/volumes, optimize use of global vs regional suppliers, increase supply base diversification and reduce complexity.
- Lead or support sourcing initiatives to identify the right supplier partners and build adequate warehousing & capacities to support business.
- Develop spend analysis and gather market intelligence in alignment with business goals.
- Influence business decision making to deliver ongoing value improvements and drive competitive advantage.
- Lead supplier communications, including sourcing event invitations, issue resolution, pricing terms negotiations and contracting.
- Develop and manage supplier partnerships / external manufacturing partnerships to drive performance delivery, risk mitigation, and value through supplier enabled innovation.
- Cultivate and leverage strategic relationships with key business partners (e.g. Internal stakeholders, supplier leadership, SRM/category leaders) to shape, optimize, and diversify the supply base.
- Develop innovative and sustainable solutions to identify and mitigate risk, drive long-term, end-to-end value, and achieve unmet business needs. Identify and pursue opportunities to develop supplier capabilities.
- Mitigate business risk through the understanding of commercial, legal and regulatory requirements and the use of efficient contracting channels leveraging standard processes and technology.
- Use procurement expertise and global business understanding to monitor the negotiation and execution of contracts.
- Ensure that agreements and the manner in which they are executed meet business demands of all stakeholders and are aligned with the organization’s overall procurement and business strategy.
- Partner with the central SCS team (Supplier Contracting Services) to ensure that agreements and the manner in which they are implemented meet business demands of all partners and are aligned with the organization’s overall procurement & business strategy.
- Lead, support or engage as procurement expert in the projects ranging from contracting, supply reliability, innovation and new product development.
- Represent procurement in End-to-End supply chain initiatives of manufacturing network, digital tools/technology adoption and resiliency.
Qualifications
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree; preferably complemented by an MBA or Master’s qualification.
- A minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated skills in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Category and Supplier Management, preferably in the Supply Chain Environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills working with cross category, supply chain and other functional partners.
- Strong business and finance acumen, deep understanding of managing for impact in complex matrix environment.
- Proven / demonstrated ability to influence, partner on & shape projects with / without direct team / authority.
- Ability to engage, interact and negotiate value enhancing relationships with suppliers.
- Experience in complex stakeholder environment; rich influencing skills; understands complexities of Regulated industries.
- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions.
- Language fluency in English, Portuguese & Spanish.
- This position may require up to 10% travel.
