Process Capacity Analyst, AMZL WW Process Engineering

The WW Process Capacity Engineering team is seeking an experienced, analytical, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Process Capacity Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize our equipment capacity, improve our efficiency, ways of working, and communication with stakeholders. You will work closely with your colleagues in the team, as well as cross-functionally with our partners across Amazon Logistics. You will design and implement analytical models and create automated tools to support decision-making.

The role is based in Sao Paulo and requires occasional travel.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain capacity models for AMZL delivery stations;
2. Create and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and automated reporting to support capacity planning and operational analytics;
3. Design and develop machine learning models to forecast demand and planning inputs;
4. Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify process improvement opportunities and implement data-driven solutions;
5. Build interactive dashboards and visualization tools to communicate insights and track KPIs;
6. Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of operational issues and propose solutions;
7. Develop and maintain documentation for analytical processes, models, and tools.

A Day in the Life

Your day could include engagement with all levels of the organization and multiple stakeholder groups to drive short, mid, and long-term decisions that have a large-scale impact across the AMZL network. You will put in place mechanisms to track project success, measure KPIs, and build reports to guide our work and give visibility to our partners and stakeholders across the organization. Your scope will alternate between a single country and WW, depending on the topic at hand.

About the Team

The AMZL WW Process Engineering team partners closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to identify, design, and develop best-in-class process infrastructure and process layouts, and to deliver them as AMZL network standard infrastructure. To enable this, the team supports prioritization of regional and WW continuous improvement initiatives in addition to cross-regional benchmarking.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree;
2. Experience in a similar role in an industrial, logistics, production/manufacturing environment;
3. Experience in analytics, data science, or software development roles;
4. Advanced knowledge of Excel;
5. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language focused on data (e.g., Python or R);
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions;
7. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master's degree in a quantitative field;
2. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP);
3. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch);
4. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma);
5. Experience in logistics, supply chain, or e-commerce industries;
6. Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams;
7. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight).
