Team Description
Sabre Corporation launched Sabre Virtual Payments, an innovative payments hub designed to maximize value from every transaction. This team of Travel & Payment experts will help any travel agency with their end-to-end payment strategy. It allows our clients to pay anyone, anywhere through a network of over 70 issuers around the world and integrates seamlessly into their current workflows, with the goal of transforming travel payments for the benefit of our customers.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Commercial Director, LATAM – Sabre Direct Pay, you will have the opportunity to work with the biggest and most important travel agencies in the region, offering them one of the best payment solutions in the travel industry and making travel payments easy, seamless, efficient, and beneficial.
What will you achieve?
- Grow our business in the region.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of leads that align with the strategy of Sabre Virtual Payments, moving prospects through the sales channel to a “live” status as quickly as possible.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle (early engagement, spend growth, loyalty programs, and retention activities), ensuring revenue and growth on new customer acquisitions.
- Partner with the Sabre Virtual Payments team, including working with customer success, implementations, partnerships, business finance, and product. Collaborate with the wider Sabre Global Distribution System sales teams and account managers on existing clients.
- Deliver strong performance results in line with agreed revenue and spend targets, and overall SVP strategy.
- Provide management with clarity on performance and results arising from your activities.
- Ensure all activity is captured in the chosen SVP CRM tool.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of business development activities, including internal activity reporting, external presentations, contractual commitments, and key client success criteria.
- Provide feedback and insight into Sabre Virtual Payments; identify existing competitors and provide insight into their competitive position within the marketplaces we operate.
- Represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus.
- Good understanding of the travel industry and GDS dynamics.
- Knowledge of payments, with a focus on virtual card usage.
- New sales experience with a strong demonstrable record of achievement blended with account management skills.
- Polished sales, contractual, negotiation skills, and closing ability.
- Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior team members and customers – including at C Level.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing several competing tasks.
- Must be willing to travel at short notice globally to attend client visits and represent Sabre Virtual Payments at industry trade events.
- Expertise with online, leisure, and business travel agencies is valued.
- Nice to have: Competent CRM experience – including the use of Excel, Salesforce, and others.
