Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join a project within the fintech industry. You will be part of the Data Platform team and take ownership of our Snowflake-based data platform. You’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies like Airflow, Snowflake, and Terraform, ensuring seamless data flow, governance, and performance. This is a high-impact role, directly influencing our financial data operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Snowflake Administration – Manage users, roles, permissions, and governance.
2. Data Pipelines & Workflow Orchestration – Build & maintain Airflow-based ETL pipelines.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Implement and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure.
4. Pipeline Maintenance & Optimization – Maintain financial data pipelines & S3 ingestion.
5. New Data Integrations – Support new fintech projects, including loans, payment providers, and legacy data migration to Snowflake.

Who You Are

1. 5+ years of experience in data engineering mixed with data platform engineering.
2. Strong Python & SQL skills for ETL development and data transformation.
3. Expertise in Snowflake administration & performance tuning.
4. Experience with Airflow for workflow automation.
5. Hands-on experience with Terraform & AWS (S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
6. Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

1. Experience with Fivetran or other data ingestion tools.
2. Familiarity with Business Data Tools (BDT).
3. Fintech/financial services background.
4. Prior experience in legacy-to-Snowflake migration.
