We are seeking a Plant Manager, a highly capable and enthusiastic individual who can lead and manage operation and maintenance activities. This person will be responsible for meeting business targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction in all delivery activities. Close collaboration with other stakeholders and colleagues is necessary to achieve the goals and actions for operational excellence as a team. In this position, you will report to the Agreement Manager in Wärtsilä, and the location is in Cabo de Santo Agostinho/PE, Brazil.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, lead and manage operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team.
  2. Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract.
  3. Ensure competent resources and competence development within the assigned team.
  4. Ensure that the condition of the plant and equipment are according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
  5. Ensure that the work is executed at the plant according to Wärtsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  6. Implement Contract Management action plans, processes and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area.
  7. Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Agreement Manager.
  8. Identify and actively seek to improve operational and maintenance reliability and availability of the plant.
  9. Develop the operation and maintenance working routines at the plant.
  10. Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  11. Ensure skilled and motivated agreement management personnel to assure good teamwork.
  12. Continuously develop understanding how to create value for customer and customers business.

Requirements:

  1. Completed technical course in Mechanics or Electrical.
  2. Bachelor's degree in administration, engineering or related areas.
  3. Extensive experience in HFO/LFO plant.
  4. Experience in gas power plants will be a plus.
  5. Experience in people management.
  6. Intermediate level of English (written and spoken).
