As a Patient Safety Partner (Coordinator), you’ll be responsible to support the comprehensive oversight of local PV compliance that contributes to the high-quality operational execution of safety-related activities, working with Pharmacovigilance Hubs to monitor the safety profile of Roche products and manage safety risks to maintain regulatory compliance.
About the opportunity:
Acts as a trusted contact for Global Safety, the Safety Network, and the PV Hub and be the point of contact for field positions (Patient Journey Partners, PJP and Health System Partners, HSP), providing safety expertise for the assigned Disease Area or Therapeutic Area. This includes co-creating and overseeing PV safety communications to external stakeholders, ensuring the right safety information reaches the right audience at the right time through appropriate channels.
Collaborate closely with other functions, like Medical, Access, and PJP/HSP, to contribute to and implement the Patient Safety strategy, aligning it with the integrated disease or therapeutic area strategy and setting priorities based on local business needs, new launches, customer expectations, portfolio/disease area focus.
Anticipates unmet safety needs, co-creates, and drives the local Safety strategy, aligning it with global strategies and local needs, delivering tangible outcomes. They proactively collaborate to generate actionable safety insights that are valuable to patients, healthcare professionals, and the business, supporting initiatives like safe home treatment, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) discussions, and safety launch readiness for new, complex disease areas. Additionally, they engage in horizon scanning to identify trends and opportunities that can accelerate and scale Patient Safety initiatives and solutions for patients.
Managing individual case safety reports, signal detection for local products, aggregate safety reports, pharmacovigilance agreements, safety data exchange agreements, risk management, safety communication, and overseeing studies and programs with implications for patient safety.
Maintaining the local Pharmacovigilance System Master File as needed.
Main requirements:
Graduated as a Health Care Professional (pharmacist, nurse, medical doctor, etc.).
Fluent English.
3 years of experience in Industry PV particularly in an affiliate setting, is an advantage.
Experience in other affiliate medical functions (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Medical Information, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs) or global clinical product development, clinical safety, is an advantage.
Experience and expertise in Pharmacovigilance and how decisions are made in the local & Global PV ecosystem.
Deep understanding of the local environment and proven abilities to develop important partnerships internally and externally, including influencing and negotiating with key personnel in an affiliate.
Availability to work in a hybrid model based on the South Zone (3x per week).
Technical Skills and Competencies:
Good knowledge and understanding of new molecules / new therapeutic areas, digital health, data and insights.
Ability to design, implement, and maintain PV processes and PV oversight systems that are straightforward, effective, and efficient.
Good understanding of other functions & pharma business, drug development, market access and PV, and ability to work cross-functionally as well as navigate through complexity.
Strategic mindset, systems thinker, critical thinking skills and outcome-based planning.
Customer centric mindset with a strong understanding of patient journey(s), health systems and related Roche products/integrated healthcare solutions.
Digital mindset as second nature to communicate, and to utilize resources and expertise from the network to fulfill local needs.
