Main responsibilities
The Ecommerce Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing the onboarding process of new customers within the TrueCommerce ecosystem, ensuring smooth integration between SAP S/4HANA, TrueCommerce, DSCO, and customer portals. This role requires strong technical expertise in EDI, business process understanding, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders. Though based in Brazil, will report directly to NA&C structure.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic retail and e-commerce environment and will have a significant impact on customer experience, order fulfillment, and operational efficiency, ensuring seamless digital integration between systems and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Onboarding & Configuration
- Manage the end-to-end process of onboarding new partners (B2B and B2C customers) into the TrueCommerce and DSCO ecosystem.
- Configure customer profiles, connection settings, and integration rules within DSCO and TrueCommerce.
- Establish SFTP connections and ensure correct EDI mappings between TrueCommerce, SAP S/4HANA, and customer systems.
- Ensure accurate synchronization of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery files between systems.
- System Integration & Monitoring
- Monitor EDI transactions and troubleshoot errors related to data exchange between SAP S/4HANA, TrueCommerce, and Customer Portals. Call IT support teams when needed.
- Identify and resolve iDoc failures within SAP S/4HANA. Call IT support teams when needed.
- Perform manual monitoring of customer communications (EDI emails, missing ASNs, chargebacks, etc.).
- Work with the SAP S/4HANA team to configure FI (Finance/Accounting) and MM (Material Management) modules when needed.
- Ensure invoices, deliveries, and orders flow correctly through the integrated systems.
- Process & Task Management
- Maintain and track projects and tasks related to implementing new customers.
- Coordinate internal teams (IT, Logistics, Finance) to ensure that all necessary configurations are completed on time.
- Provide continuous process improvements based on common issues faced during implementations.
- Customer & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as a link between internal teams and external customers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Gather necessary data from customers for integration setup.
- Perform tests, validations, and troubleshooting during customer onboarding phases.
- Provide training and documentation for customers regarding the integration process.
Requirements and skills
Technical Skills
- EDI expertise: knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations, mappings, and troubleshooting.
- TrueCommerce, Workplace tools experience: Prior experience configuring and using these platforms (or similar) is highly preferred.
- SAP S/4HANA knowledge: Familiarity with iDocs, integration with EDI, FI (Finance), and MM (Material Management) modules.
- B2B & B2C Order Management: Understanding of Dropshipping, Wholesale (Cross-Dock), and Distribution Center (DC) models.
- Integration & Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in the data flow between SAP, TrueCommerce, DSCO, and external systems.
Business & Soft Skills
- Experience with supply chain, e-commerce logistics, and order fulfillment models.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance, logistics, IT, and customer service teams.
- Experience with project management tools (Ex: Asana, Azure DevOps) for tracking onboarding tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (who are based in the USA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a retail, logistics, or e-commerce environment.
- Background as end-user in SAP integration projects (EDI, iDocs, RFC connections, APIs).
- Familiarity with customer portals and 3P e-commerce platforms.
- Certifications in SAP, EDI, or project management would be a plus.
