The Psychologist provides counseling and psychological assessment and testing within an outpatient program. Performs assessment, testing for individual, family and group counseling. Coordinates and implements the treatment plan. Provides crisis intervention as necessary. Services are provided to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples using knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients. In concert with psychiatrists, maintains a team approach in treating patients. Adheres to professional and ethical guidelines as outlined by mental health care organizations and associations.

Typical working schedule Monday-Friday 7:30a – 4p.
No call, weekends or holidays.

Must have a Clinical PsyD or PHD in clinical Psychology or related area.
Prefer graduate from a Neuropsychological curriculum.
Prefer rehab psychology or Neuropsychology internship and 2 year post doc.
Clinical training shall include diagnostic skills and clinical interventions which meet accepted and current standards of care.
Must be knowledgeable in Neuropsychological Assessment and Psychological related to Psychiatric Diagnosis assessments.
Outpatient evaluations, Neuropsychological Testing, Report Writing & Interpretation, Feedback, Therapy.
Must be able to perform pre-surgical epilepsy evaluations and potentially Wada’s.
Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing). Positive interpersonal skills required. Sits stands and walks for extended periods of time. Requires some light lifting. Potential for participation in therapeutic recreational activities.
Sit up to 8 hours per day; 3 hours at a time. Stand for up to 8 hours per day; 8 hours at a time. Walking for up to 6 hours per day. Frequently lifting, carrying and pushing objects up to 10 pounds. Rarely lifting, carrying and pushing objects up to 75 pounds. Frequently stooping and bending. Frequently reaching above shoulder level. Frequently handling, firm grasping and twisting & turning as it relates to performing procedures. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation, high and low frequencies. Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral vision. Must be able to speak as it relates to normal conversation and projection as it relates to lectures and presentations.
