Role Description
Mechanical Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems.
Main responsibilities:
Utilize and apply understanding of suppliers and Customer specific requirements (internal and external) relevant to specific manufacturing processes.
- Manage relationships with Customers (internal and external) and drive improvements in Customer satisfaction.
- Teach and direct the application of technical solutions to meet product and process requirements.
- Lead and coordinate product and process improvements within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools.
- Diagnose process performance indicators and trends using applicable analytical tools to effectively solve problems.
- Use PO-Plant optimization methods to drive process improvements.
- Recognize and identify problems and achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs.
- Maintain activities for the mould shop and tooling retrofits, performance improvements, and deployment of new processes/equipment.
- Maintain the stability and performance of the company's tools, equipment, and machinery to support the business' daily operations and prevent deliverable delays.
- Manage mold vendors in the refurbishment of existing tooling and new mold construction.
- Use 2D, 3D programs to support the business needs.
- Draw up the technical specifications of tooling & equipment with regards to proper operation and standardization within the company.
Requirements:
VI/VII degree of education (Mechanical or Technological Engineering background)
Excellent computer skills and use of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook)
English language skills
Team spirit
Adaptability, patience, ability to meet tight deadlines
