Team Overview and Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Logistic Specialist to join our team.
Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, you will be responsible for balancing the resources and demands of the plant according to the Production Plan. You will also coordinate the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of logistics activities, including logistics planning, planning production lines, and making the best use of available resources. This includes calculating available machine hours, necessary tools, and devices to ensure production meets the required type and quantity, while adhering to deadlines established with internal and external customers, according to plans, goals, and pre-established policies. You will participate in and carry out the planning of new orders and projects, in collaboration with the Commercial, Engineering, and Industrial areas.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and implement strategies for maintaining FG and WIP inventory levels, in accordance with sales forecasts defined in the annual Management Plan, to ensure customer service.
- Participate in planning meetings (SOP, Pre-SOP) that provide interrelationship between the Commercial and Industrial areas, to maintain the balance between customer needs and production capacity.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production planning and scheduling, materials management, and monitoring tools to make the sector's activities agile and accurate.
- Develop and continually update the Production Planning of the plant to meet the desired delivery deadlines by customers and achieve the established service level target.
- Prepare logistics control, SOP, inventory, and production level reports to meet internal decision-making support needs.
- Align the plant's production needs with the raw material planning to meet the established production deadlines.
- Participate in ACCs/ACOs to understand customer needs and define the most appropriate logistics strategy.
- Define production deadlines to meet the OVs based on manufacturing capacity, labor availability, MP availability, and customer needs.
- Issue OPs (production orders) in SAP with the defined deadlines to formalize the production of MTS and/or MTO orders.
- Monitor the OP portfolio to ensure compliance with deadlines, predict possible delays, and propose corrective or preventive measures, in alignment with the delivery deadline, together with the Commercial Area team.
- Execute production planning and control through the analysis of reports with information on sales, stocks, and other relevant data, as well as checking the balance of lines and pre-established time.
- Perform daily production follow-up, monitoring all phases of the production process to correct possible fluctuations.
- Position the Commercial and Production Areas regarding the status of products in process, as well as track the product to identify bottlenecks that may occur during manufacturing, thus allowing actions to reduce lead time.
- Participate in daily and weekly meetings with other interfunctional areas, positioning the sales and production portfolio.
- Check production orders according to the list of materials and correct possible deviations in production when necessary.
- Participate in internal and external training as needed or directed by the immediate superior, seeking professional and personal development through technical improvement and updating.
- Collaborate in the process of maintaining the Integrated Management System adopted by the Company (Quality, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health and Safety), ensuring compliance with established rules and procedures for the area of activity.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Higher Education in Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in related positions such as Logistics/Supply Chain Analyst, PPC Analyst, or Logistics/Supply Chain Coordinator, required to master the main activities of the position.
- English proficiency is desirable.
