Your role

Are you an experienced lawyer in the Wealth Management industry? Do you have deep experience with legal and regulatory matters in connection with the Brazilian capital markets, asset management, and securities distribution activities?

We’re looking for an experienced lawyer to:

• proactively connect with business partners and peers in all matters involving Legal expertise;
• liaise with local regulators directly and through industry associations regarding changes in laws and policies that may have an impact on the GWM Brazil business;
• provide local Legal support on new products/services expansion and periodic product/service reviews, also developing and producing responses to regulatory inquiries on behalf of the firm in cooperation with the other areas;
• support new business and strategic initiatives and provide input relating to compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, as well as representing Legal in local GWM internal governance forums and in market association industry forums (e.g. ANBIMA);
• provide Legal support in the development of policies, procedures, and standard forms, directing, managing, and supervising outside counsels, reviewing legal opinions or documentation prepared;
• advise on all aspects of the GWM governance, including Brazil market regulation, cross-border issues, and the impact of international rulemaking.

Your expertise

• ideally +7 years of experience in a similar position;
• experience in the wealth management/asset management/investment funds industries;
• admitted to OAB in good standing;
• fluency in Portuguese and English;
• excellent communication skills.

You’ll be working in the UBS Brasil Legal team, based in São Paulo, Brazil. We focus on delivering high-quality legal advice and solutions to UBS’ business divisions acting in Brazil.
