Last Mile Program Specialist, Amazon Logistics

We are doing this by building a world class last mile operation to make deliveries to our customers.


As a Last Mile Program Manager, you will own strategy and initiatives around improving drivers cost of delivery. To achieve your goals, you will work with functions that cut across the organization; including technology, operations, and marketing. A successful program manager will work to improve the in-station and on-road experience of hundreds of drivers through data analysis, deep diving of barriers and pain points, and implementing thoughtful and effective standards. These improvements must also be balanced with the needs of the business and take key operational metrics into consideration. Effective stakeholder management skills are needed in order to effectively balance these competing priorities and deliver effective solutions on behalf of our customers and drivers.


Key job responsibilities

  1. Supporting the long-term road map for improving quality and cost performance
  2. Work closely with finance, marketing, capacity management, data science, engineering, and program management on process improvement and launch initiatives
  3. Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.
  4. Effectively influence stakeholders through collaboration and effective prioritization
  5. Make difficult resource trade-offs and align Director and VP level leadership on inputs, outputs, and priorities
  6. Own key performance indicators and work closely with the business to understand day to day opportunities and pain points in order to implement short term and long term solves
  7. Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate level of quality and in line with its target date
  8. Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills.
  9. Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls.
  10. Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Program or project management experience
  3. Defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  4. Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  5. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  6. Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  7. Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  8. Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
  2. Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  3. Experience building processes, project management and schedules
