Who will you be working with?

The IT PMO (Project Management Office) sits within the overarching IT SPM (Strategy & Process Management) that rolls up under our CIO. Our IT PMO governance model is considered to be a "light PMO" that operates in a Hybrid model.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the IT PMO team, Wabtec is looking for an individual to support a best-in-class IT PMO. The IT PMO Analyst role reports directly to the IT PMO Director and is responsible for supporting both the IT PMO and the IT PM community with communications, documentation, process tracking, data analysis, reports generation, and risk management.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, IT, or related field, or work-related experience.
• Experience in project management, data analysis, or a related analyst role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts.
• Highly organized, able to balance multiple tasks and work independently.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with and analyze various data sets.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including advanced experience with pivot tables and chart skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Smart Sheet, Rally, Service Now SPM, etc.
• Project management certification (ie. CAPM, PMP, CSM, CPM, ACP, APM) is preferred.

What will your typical day look like?

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to both the IT PMO Director & IT PMO team, as well as support for our PMs, team members, & leaders in the IT community.

• Support our IT community of PMs & team members, conducting project work with process guidance, creating & maintaining documentation of our IT PMO governance process.
• Support the IT PMO with our ServiceNow SPM tool. The candidate for this role is expected to quickly become a subject matter expert, able to own & execute dashboard creation & maintenance, as well as system enhancement requests for this tool.
• Play an integral role in the communication strategy of the IT PMO, authoring & sending/publishing communications to the IT PM community.
• Contribute to the creation of training content for consumption by our IT PM community. This may be in the form of MS PowerPoint presentations, participating/assisting with live training sessions held virtually and/or in person.
• Identify projects at risk, helping the PMs mitigate & navigate this risk.
• Support the IT PMO with project performance data capture & reporting.
