Hitachi Energy Transformers - Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking an Application Specialist who will provide overall support to the (Global/ HUB/Factory) BST IT team to drive value and business growth.

Job Role Overview:

As an Application Specialist, you will apply strong application technology knowledge and expertise to any application activity within all IT process domains. You will be strongly involved in all operational activities and contribute to various areas, from solution design through testing, deployment, configuration, and development to user training.

Your responsibilities encompass both configuration governance and master data management.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Identify, propose, advise, and implement existing IT application technology and IT solutions/services, sharing knowledge and guiding others on implementation and operation, using an understanding of existing IT application technology and business requirements.
2. Involve in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of IT solutions/services where application knowledge is needed.
3. Engage in application and software design to provide product solutions for specific business needs.
4. Manage/support the entire process of building applications, from the design process to creating, testing, and rolling out the application.
5. Design a product solution in line with specifications given by Solution Architect, Application Manager, and business users.
6. Implement applications and provide support services for users.
7. Provide training for business users.

Your Experience:

• Experience in IT Applications Management and Service Delivery in multinational companies.
• Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or business management.
• Advanced English is required.
• Experience with development platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega, Docker, Kubernetes; specify the languages relevant to the role).
• Experience with the functional domain where the application belongs (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Sales & Marketing; specify the languages relevant to the role).
• Understanding of software development lifecycles.
• Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives.
• Exceptional analytical abilities for navigating intricate data structures.
• Demonstrated excellence in project management.
