WHAT DOES AN HR MANAGER DO?

Leads South America People’s agenda in alignment with Regional and Global initiatives, always complying with local legislation.

This position has a strategic role in acting as an agent for transformation and continuous improvement, change management, strategic business partner for Brazil market, translating the needs of the business into innovative HR Actions.

You will play a crucial role in the development and execution of the people agenda. You will be instrumental HR business partner to the senior leadership team. Understanding the inner workings and needs of the business in order to translate them into a People plan that aligns with regional / global strategies.

This position leads a broad range of HR matters such as: Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management & Development, Talent Management, Internal Communications, Union Relations, Talent Acquisition and Payroll.

ABOUT YOU

A dynamic, authentic, agile leader who is action oriented and results driven. You will have a strong background in HR along with a track record of successful building and maintaining of stakeholder relationships. You will need to manage and balance a matrix environment where different functions and teams could be competing for your time and attention. You will have strong credibility and knowledge in all aspects of HR and associated laws and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, development, training and retention.
  • Support design and ensure implementation of org changes aligned with Role Model Organizations and talent strategy.
  • Employee engagement: Ensure programs and initiatives to actively engage employees as measured by the Primo Engagement Survey (PES) and ad hoc pulse surveys.
  • Conduct and Lead the annual Talent Review process and ensure succession pipeline for critical roles.
  • Support line managers in creation and implementation of development plans for identified population.
  • Recruit and integrate high quality candidates according to business needs, lead-time and recruitment cost targets.
  • Driving a strong “belonging calendar” focus on inclusion and diversity - making sure every primo feels they “belong”.
  • Drive Building Capabilities programs for the team(s) in line with people strategy and plans.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations to reduce risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in terms of conduct, mobility, compensation & benefits, internal & external recruitment, onboarding, development, training, etc.
  • Maintain HR systems (primarily WorkDay), ensure data is kept up to date and correct and provide relevant analysis and reports as required.
  • Work closely to the Shared Service Center to ensure the level of quality for local Payroll.
  • Manage and maintain assigned budget effectively.
  • Company Image Protection: Ensure protection of the company image and act as an ambassador for the image of the Company and its brands.

  • High level of energy / ability to motivate and support HR programs across the business.
  • Requires ability to influence others and ability to communicate and influence leadership.
  • Strong drive for results with positive, transparent and ethical leadership style.
  • Handles ambiguity with comfort, is resourceful, solution-oriented and has a growth mindset.
  • A self-starter, who works well with autonomy and can prioritize with sound judgement.
  • Strong relationship builder in complex organizational contexts.
  • Technical skills will help to support the candidate’s success.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

  • Solid HR generalist experience.
  • Language Skills: Portuguese and Advanced English (are a must) Spanish advanced knowledge (highly desired).
  • Experience in building and delivering effective people strategies.
  • Experience managing and influencing not only direct reports but matrix organization (i.e., peer leaders).
  • Understand business concerns and work highly collaboratively with business leaders to enable common goal of outstanding results.
  • Strong knowledge in labour legislation.
