As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) at EdgeUno, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR function for our LATAM operations. This is a hands-on generalist role, ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment. You will manage and oversee key HR operations, including payroll, compensation, total rewards, benefits, terminations, and employee relations, while also contributing to strategic initiatives to support the business.


Core Responsibilities


  1. Payroll & Compensation: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across LATAM countries, adhering to local regulations and company policies. Assist in designing and implementing fair and competitive compensation strategies.
  2. Total Rewards & Benefits: Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring alignment with market standards while balancing cost-effectiveness. Act as the point of contact for benefit providers and resolve employee inquiries.
  3. Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee processes related to hiring, onboarding, and terminations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
  4. HR Operations: Maintain and improve HR systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency. Collaborate with external partners for compliance and administrative tasks.
  5. Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor for managers and employees, addressing workplace concerns, managing conflicts, and fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
  6. Compliance & Legal Support: Ensure compliance with labor laws across LATAM, including contract management, policy updates, and audits. Collaborate with legal counsel as necessary.
  7. Strategic Support: Partner with leadership to identify and address HR needs, contributing to workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a startup or multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices across LATAM, including payroll, labor laws, and benefits administration.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Portuguese (Spanish is a plus).
  • Proactive mindset with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment marked by rapid change.
