Job Overview and Responsibilities

Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Credit Management, Procurement, Human Resources and Transformation activities. We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group’s transformation.

Join us in one of our 3 service centers: Lisbon, Curitiba, and Bangkok and be part of this transformation journey.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Excellence Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving a culture of continuous improvement initiatives and will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Additionally, you will participate in benchmarking activities to ensure the adoption of best practices across the GBS organization. This role involves working closely with the GBS Services Lines and the Transformation team. The Service Excellence Specialist will report to the Service Excellence Manager and will be part of the GBS Transformation and Service Excellence team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Capability Development: Serve as a mentor and trainer to enable capability development for leaders and practitioners in continuous improvement methodologies. Develop and deliver training content tailored to needs to enhance skills and drive CI initiatives.
  2. Strategic Execution of Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive CI plan aligned with objectives and challenges. Utilize Lean methodology to identify improvement opportunities, lead project management efforts, and track progress towards goals.
  3. Automation Opportunity: Proactively identify opportunities to utilize process mining and other technological tools such as data analytics, Automation, AI to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  4. Global Collaboration and Standards Setting: Support the Service Excellence Manager in setting standards, strategies, and driving global projects. Collaborate with the other Service Centers to share best practices, drive consistency, and contribute to the development of global standards and strategies.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment: Collaborate with key stakeholders to align CI initiatives with business priorities and objectives. Build strong relationships and effectively communicate the value proposition of CI and automation to drive engagement and support.
  6. Benchmarking and Best Practice Sharing: Engage in benchmarking exercises to identify best practices. Leverage benchmarking insights to drive CI efforts and ensure alignment with industry standards and trends.
  7. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of CI initiatives and track progress towards goals. Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to the management team, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.

Proven experience of minimum 5-7 years in continuous improvement, process optimization and automation.

Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen and experience leading improvement projects.

Black Belt certified preferred.

Accreditation as a Kaizen Facilitator or similar certification preferred.

Technical expertise in areas within GBS preferred.
