This position’s primary location is in São Paulo, Brazil but other potential locations such as Bogotá or Mexico City will also be considered.

The Sr Analyst – Technical Product Owner will work at the intersection of business and technology to help define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives and challenges with technology solutions. This role will help drive the evolution of Adverse Events Management within the company by supporting the planning and implementation of simplified, automated and efficient processes, in partnership with the Pharmacovigilance area, with a mission to ensure the adverse events management process operates optimally and remains aligned with proper timelines follow-up and tracking, throughout user-friendly features with improved efficiency and productivity, while providing insights for driving decision-making within the business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own vision and prioritization of new features and/or enhancements to the Scientific Dissemination product addressed by the squad and help translate business needs into prioritized user stories, accountable for value delivery and value realization at the squad level.
  • Shape the squad vision/roadmap and steer the squad in delivering the products features/work oriented around business impact.
  • Shape and prioritize backlog, applying business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost and improving delivery efficiency.
  • Act as the “voice of the customer” within the squad to ensure the squad “builds the right thing.”
  • Plan resourcing for the squad (i.e. new role, change in role), create order entry requests, interview, select and onboard members to join the squad.
  • Accountable for shaping and hitting squad goals and achievements.
  • Work closely with Product/Platform Manager to establish the products’ business value and support messaging, communications, and customer outreach as vital.
  • Ensure the product/features/work meets relevant security, privacy & compliance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
  • Drive engagement with third parties to support delivery of squad objectives and selection of technical solution options.
  • Facilitate release planning, sprint planning, and demos with collaborators.
  • Interact with other Squads within the Product/Platform as part of synchronization ceremonies to implement cross-squad tasks.
  • Drive reporting and analytics to provide visibility on squad performance and supervise sprint metrics and user results.
  • Work with Lead Engineer to balance tech debt with feature delivery.
  • Own and handle documentation and information.
  • Collaborate to ensure all partners are clear on product roadmap activities, design, interdependencies, and timelines.
  • Actively participate in all squad ceremonies; lead and optimize the flow of value using various tools and reporting cadence.
  • Find opportunities to work with cross-functional teams and various collaborators, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement.
  • Analyze sophisticated experimentation procedures to address product development issues, and compile results for review.
  • Install policies for working in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline achievements and results, and find opportunities and risks.
  • Document outcomes of experimentation targeting problems of large complexity and scope and communicate the best course of action to internal teams.
  • Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Understand and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with the team.

Solutioning & Delivery:

  • Define the standards for the product, including overall design and features, development standards, release management processes and schedules, testing/validation, compliance, and master data structure.
  • Handle financial budgets.
  • Perform vendor management.
  • Facilitate Change Control and Risk Management Processes.
  • Drive continual measurement of capabilities against demand volume, complexity, business challenges, and improvement within value stream(s).
  • Be accountable for cross-team communication.
  • Coach POs and vendors on product management standard processes to ensure consistency across the product.

Key Skills:

  • Validated knowledge and understanding of standard practices, technology, and supporting industry principles.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into a product vision by applying expertise in product development, engineering, and UX.
  • Deep understanding of business/processes and high-level understanding of high-quality digital product delivery.
  • Experienced in leading a product backlog/release plan, supervising team-level metrics, attending product team ceremonies, and removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn-up).
  • Experienced in developing systems and tools to enable customer interactions and collaboration (e.g., digital self, precision marketing, DAM, immersive technology).
  • Understanding of customer journeys and customer experience.
  • Substantial skills in relevant technologies in their domain, sufficient to drive technical solutioning with the ability to actively engage with engineers to make decisions on technical tradeoffs.
  • Proven success in leading multiple cross-functional self-organized teams.
  • Supplies ideas that challenge thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Foundational skills (at minimum) in Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, Intelligent Automation, and Emerging Technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, Computer Science; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • English - Conversational level.
  • Spanish – Desirable.
  • Experience in product management, preferably in Call Center, Pharmacovigilance (Adverse Events and Quality Complaints Management), Medical Information, Scientific Content Knowledge within Medical Affairs related areas from a Pharmaceutical company.
  • Technical background with experience in software development, database management, and data analytics.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and leading sophisticated projects from conception to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to establish relationships and influence collaborators at all levels of the organization.

Preferred:

  • Experience in supporting Medical Affairs/Pharmaceutical Commercial business.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Commercial and Scientific, Data and Analytics, CRM, and Digital solutions is preferred.
  • Industry knowledge in life science or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to apply IT knowledge to solving business problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent social skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, exceptional service orientation, strong negotiating skills.
