Finance Manager

What's the role?

The purpose of the role is to lead and develop the finance function to achieve set targets, productive growth, ensure compliance and develop people. The role involves leading financial decision-making, developing and guiding the finance team. The job holder needs to have a strong market and business understanding and ability to balance business opportunities and risks. The job holder acts as a co-pilot for the General Manager bringing in commercial and business expertise.

Scope: Head of Finance & Controlling / FBP for MO M OR Large Plant. Reports to GM or Head of Plant, member of the MO or Plant Leadership Team.

What does the role involve?

1. Take ownership to drive organization profit and loss performance.
2. Lead the forecasting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
3. Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial reports.
4. Share the right financial information to all stakeholders to enable fact-based business decisions with balance of business opportunities and associated risks.
5. Present reports to the local and regional senior management (be able to present, explain and challenge business results as well as provide ideas of improvement of profitability and capital efficiency).
6. Manage cash-flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations.
7. Actively participate in management meetings, contribute to discussions on company business steering, deliver analysis and provide insights for performance drivers, forecast future trends, co-create solutions and participate in actions to improve business results.
8. Collaborate with other departments to drive financial performance and achieve company objectives.
9. Manage external and internal audits.
10. Lead and mentor finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
11. Collaborate with regional and global finance teams.

What you need is:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional certification ACCA or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial, consultancy or auditing role within a multinational organization (preferably in FPA, Finance controlling, Finance management roles).
• Proven experience in business planning & modeling, financial planning & analysis, strong understanding of IFRS.
• Excellent command in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Excel, PPT, Power BI.
• Evidence of acting as a strategic business partner through influencing and interacting with key stakeholders across a matrix organization.
• A strong business acumen together with pro-active behavior, and conceptual thinking.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to structure clear presentations and to simplify a financial message to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
