This position will be responsible for performing on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation.
As a Field Specialist - Mechanical Gas Turbine / Compressors - Brazil, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and executing foundation and soft foot check and adjustments.
- Leading and executing assembly/installation and alignment of the equipment.
- Leading and executing independently inspection of the equipment.
- Providing business ownership for work in assigned areas.
- Establishing and maintaining business relationships (customer and BH).
- Providing leadership to balance customer service satisfaction and BH objectives.
- Driving Safety, On-time Delivery, Productivity, Quality, and Cost.
- Performing field engineering service work, as required, to properly serve the customer.
- Supporting emergent and emergency customer needs.
- Creating an engaging work environment where other BH and the customer's employees are motivated to optimally perform.
- Owning lessons learned process for BH/customer efforts at assigned sites, ensuring all BH and customer learning are applied, increasing the probability of achieving customer goals.
- Supporting Root Cause Analysis efforts within customer and BH organizations relating to customer failures, forced outages, and incidents of interest.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an engineering degree or technical degree.
- Have an active CREA or CFT.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 (five) years in experience in TMS equipment – is a must.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 2 (two) years in experience in Baker Hughes equipment, attested by a company that has carried out scope in the equipment covered the site operation, commissioning, and start-up – is a must.
- Demonstrate capability in working under pressure, clear thinking, decisiveness. Team player skills.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of compressors equipment.
- Be able to make strong analytic and problem-solving skills together with good interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Must be a leader with excellent listening, project management, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Have mechanical Field Engineer/Technician with Project Management experience, or a Specialist from one of many fields.
- Be able to effectively work with the Customer at all levels of their organization - from day to day users of BH products and services to the Customer's Executives.
- Be able to provide technical direction of skilled craft labor, track costs, update schedules, and communicate effectively at all levels as a site manager.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills including the ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite environment, ability to learn special BH applications, and ability to utilize (or learn) identified Project Management software applications such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrate Field Engineering experience.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English or at least intermediary.
- Demonstrate knowledge of MKVIe or RX3i or Woodward Control panels.
- Have knowledge of Nuovo Pignone or Thermodyn CECO.
- Have knowledge of LM2500 turbines.
