Field Service Tech

This position is responsible for:

1. Performing repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
2. Making technical reports and planning repair procedures.
3. Executing tasks with high-quality service.
4. Performing basic inspections and using tools such as compressors, lathes, drilling, and welding machines.
5. Understanding MANITOWOC procedures for assembling, maintaining, and repairing cranes.
6. Building a trustworthy list of parts and services necessary for repairing MANITOWOC equipment.
7. Maintaining a polite demeanor with customers, even in pressure situations.
8. Exhibiting proactive attitudes and the ability to transfer knowledge.
9. Complying with the Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
10. Participating in process improvement integration with other areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Comply with all health and safety regulations pertaining to work assignments.
2. Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, aided by software.
3. Handle technical deliveries and warranty processes for reman parts, new equipment, and refurbished equipment.
4. Evaluate cranes to enable equipment repair or refurbishment without losing quality and reliability.
5. Make evaluations of equipment, including parts and services lists.
6. Support customers, coworkers, and partners with technical questions and perform repair procedures.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions:

1. Technical Degree.
2. Desirable English language skills.
3. Background in electronics, with knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics preferred.
4. Good communication skills, adaptability, self-motivation, planning and organization, teamwork, customer focus, and a service attitude.
