This position will coordinate and oversee work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer.
As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
- Being the primary contact to work with the Customer Representative and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
- Providing records of all activities accomplished at Customer Site to the Baker Hughes TPS Supervisor and promotes and maintains good team relations.
- Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Service applicable processes and procedures.
- Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.
- Providing limited troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
- Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in the industry in the quality sector.
- Have engineering or technical level training in mechanics, mechatronics, and electromechanics.
- Possess CREA or CFT certifications.
- Have the capability to work under pressure, clear thinking, and decisiveness. Team player skills.
- Be willing to work on Field Services outages 70-80% of the time and travel frequently worldwide.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with good interpersonal & organizational skills.
- Be a leader with excellent listening, project management, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Be able to effectively work with the Customer at all levels of their organization - from day-to-day users of BH products and services to the Customer's Executives.
- Have advanced computer skills including the ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite environment, learn special BH applications, and utilize (or learn) identified Project Management software applications such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
Desired:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in TMS equipment.
- Experience in Baker Hughes equipment, attested by a company that has carried out scope in the equipment covered by the site operation, commissioning, and start-up.
- Knowledge of Nuovo Pignone or Thermodyn CECO.
- Knowledge of LM2500 turbines.
