The Field Operations Manager (FOM) is the leader of the field operational support team of External Fulfillment (EF). This person is responsible for: i) defining operational metrics goals, ii) driving sellers and vendors to meet these goals, iii) leading business reviews, iv) leading initiatives to improve speed and cost to serve, v) solving blockers for scaling, vi) creating and iterating mechanisms, and vii) benchmarking best practices with other countries. The FOM leads a team that visits partners’ premises to inspect the operational procedures and controls, inventory, and resources dedicated to Amazon. This team also coaches our partners to improve productivity, reduce errors, and invest to support growth.
This person is responsible for:
You will connect with your team, define priorities, accompany on-site visits, participate in business reviews with different audiences, manage competing priorities, solve problems, contribute to projects and improvement actions, inspect KPIs, dive deep into defects, write documents, and meet with peer teams from other countries.
This position is part of the External Fulfillment Operations team, has six direct reports and five peers. Our team has the highest Connections scores of Operations for three years straight. We work hard, have fun, and are making history by scaling our work at a fast pace while improving our metrics year over year.
