About the Maintenance Americas (AC) team
The Maintenance AC team is part of the Operations AC department and is responsible for the regionwide availability and condition of the Ampelmann fleet. The team currently consists of a Team Lead, two Field Maintenance Technicians and a Logistics and Warehousing coordinator, based in Houston and Providence. As the team is currently relatively small, you’ll find yourself working closely with colleagues from the Europe region Maintenance Team as well. Next to these direct colleagues, you will also work together closely with Operations Project Managers, Operators and Supply Chain management. In this role you will report to the Team Lead Field Maintenance Americas, based in Houston, Texas, USA.
Your role as Field Maintenance Technician
As Field Maintenance Technician, you maintain, diagnose and repair a variety of the Ampelmann systems that make up our fleet. You are responsible for the perfect technical condition of the systems in your region, and you ensure that your work is performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. The maintenance work you carry out is very hands-on and can either be preventive or corrective, depending on the situation, which makes this role diverse and challenging. You will schedule and manage your maintenance projects independently, while keeping all stakeholders involved and informed. While the majority of your responsibilities will be based in Brazil, this role involves regular travel, as our systems are operational across the Americas region.
Your regular activities
Planning and carrying out of maintenance work orders, both preventive and corrective.
Ordering spare parts and updating work orders via our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA’s) and toolbox talks.
Review, update and/or create maintenance manuals.
Contribute to bigger maintenance projects.
Responsible for contacting and maintaining relations with local vendors and suppliers.
We ask
Technical vocational degree and 2+ years of relevant working experience in offshore industry.
Good technical knowledge: proven experience with mechanics, hydraulics and electronics.
Good communication skills in English and Brazilian Portuguese are a must, both spoken and written.
A flexible mindset: willing to travel (in the region) and work outside of office hours.
An independent, responsible and accountable attitude as your direct manager is located outside of Brazil.
You get
A great work environment with innovative and change-willing aspirations.
High degree of responsibility and room to have significant impact.
Monthly gross salary between BRL 5.340 – BRL 6.900, based on your experience.
Good secondary benefits (e.g. annual bonus, working from home policy, unlimited vacation days).
Ampelmann Academy for all your personal and professional development needs.
