Productive processes in perfect harmony with care for the environment. At Ibema, we work integrated with nature. Therefore, we use natural resources with awareness and balance. Our role is to protect our greatest wealth, our planet!

Water Resources

Without water, there is no life. At Ibema, we respect this essential source! Our practices, from the simplest to those that require large investments, seek to use it in a sustainable way.Our commitment is seen in practice: today, the water we use in our factories returns clean to neighboring rivers or is reused in our operations. The Embu das Artes unit, for example, has one of the highest water reuse rates in the country, which we are very proud of! Nice, right?

Solid Waste

We wake up every day ready to do something more and better! This effort is seen in the way we manage solid waste in our production. Our responsibility is to find sustainable alternatives, such as recycling and co-processing, and to ensure the correct destinations for what we don't use.

Waste Management: Did you know that in Embu das Artes we do not send any waste to industrial landfills? Turvo also already processes about 80% of these wastes. Our daily goal is to turn the two units into Landfill Zero, and we are going to win that title soon!

Biomass: we use this renewable fuel in Turvo and we no longer emit 21 thousand tons of CO2 per year, so our greenhouse gas emission factor is practically zero.

Ciclobom Project

Developed by BO Packaging with the support of Ibema and Green Mining - to give new life to single-use cups, transforming them into cup sleeves for hot drinks.

In partnership with activas, a company specializing in reverse logistics and industrial plastics, since 2021

We keep plastic buckets at our plant in Embu das Artes, where employees deposit

plastic waste that is later transformed into PCR resin. The initiative came from the

Supplies in partnership with the R&D area, and gained support from the Environment, Processes and Industrial Management areas.

The project is developed by the startup Green Mining, together with Ibema and in partnership with Grupo Boticário.

In Embu das Artes, in São Paulo, the goal is to deal with recycled materials in an unprecedented way.
