Engineering Manager, Developer Tools

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented engineering team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the development platform (VTEX IO) and the database product (Master Data) used to implement and customize e-commerce operations. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the future of our architecture, ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of Master Data while simultaneously driving innovation on our development platform. This platform is essential for creating tailored, high-performing e-commerce experiences that empower our clients to launch unique stores with ease.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and operations, to align on requirements and priorities that drive our technology vision forward. As a hands-on leader, you will not only contribute to the technical direction of projects but also mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, agility, and innovation.

ABOUT THE TEAM

You’ll be joining a group of skilled, highly collaborative engineers split into two focused teams: one dedicated to Master Data and the other to our development platform (VTEX IO) for e-commerce implementation and customization. Each team comprises experienced professionals with deep technical knowledge and a strong track record in building and scaling complex systems.

The Master Data team is responsible for maintaining a high-performance, secure, and resilient database architecture. With extensive expertise in database optimization and infrastructure, this team ensures that Master Data consistently meets the demanding requirements of our rapidly growing client base.

The VTEX IO platform team drives innovation in our core e-commerce technology, creating tools that enable fast, custom store implementations. This team is focused on delivering modular and flexible solutions that give our clients the freedom to tailor their stores while enjoying seamless integration and outstanding performance.
