ERM is looking for a motivated, hands-on ESG and Climate Change Senior Consultant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a delivery-focused communications professional who is passionate about sustainability and the role of communications in this area. We are looking for someone who is already experienced in creating engaging and compelling content in the area of ESG, whether through writing sustainability reports or developing sustainability-focused brand communications.

You will need to be a skilled writer with a creative flair, have good organizational skills, and be able to plan and prioritize your work to meet varying deadlines. This is definitely a role for someone who is ready to get involved, be part of a strong team, work across multiple disciplines, and deliver excellent work. Experience in ESG communications is essential for this role.

The ESG Communications Team sits within the global Change and Transformation Business Unit, which has team members across the globe. As part of this role, you will also work closely with our design team who produce the sustainability reports with us. This role requires excellent intercultural awareness and the ability to deal with many different stakeholders across the business and within our client organizations. Key areas of responsibility

  • Develop and write sustainability reports, investor relations reports, and marketing content focused on engaging and authentic sustainability communications.

  • Take part in client-facing brand workshops to shape the messaging and structure of their reports and communications around their ESG activity.

  • Work closely with the design team to support the production of client reports and brand content, ensuring attention to detail when incorporating feedback from clients.

  • Be creative while guiding our clients on how to avoid greenwashing in their communications.

  • Bring a passion for working with clients to help them make an impact in their work, supporting a more sustainable world through consistent and engaging communications.

Required experience and attributes

  • Fluent speaker of English with strong writing skills.

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree minimum and/or a professional communications qualification.

  • Experience creating ESG content for communications/marketing across various business sectors.

  • Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks such as GRI.

  • Ability to interpret complex information and create content that is accessible for a wide range of audiences.

  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Positive and proactive working style.

  • Collaborative, cooperative, and team-oriented.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills and time management.

  • Team-oriented and self-motivated.
