All about the role:
Directly reporting to the VP Procurement Raw Material and Transformation, you will lead the global Steel Raw Material Team with 5 direct reports globally distributed and managing the entire Electrolux Group carbon and stainless steel spend. You will also lead strategic initiatives and projects, while driving commercial strategy and competitive positioning of the spend in scope.
What you’ll do:
- Defining, driving and executing the category strategy globally and per region
- Defining the supplier base and deploying supplier relationship management initiatives
- Driving negotiation, pricing and exposure strategy in order to maximize RMI index (YoY saving) and constantly improve price vs market
- Defending Electrolux competitiveness from increasing market cycles and/or protectionism measures, both for direct and indirect steel volumes
- Financial monthly reporting update
- Ensure cross-qualification/dual sourcing in each plant and promote streamlined qualification approach
- Supplier contract management
- Promoting overall cost-out opportunities involving R&D/Quality support (DME/Engineering changes, complexity reduction, de-specifications, Low Cost Country sourcing)
- Deploying strategic initiatives for the category (e.g. risk management, sustainability initiative on green steel)
Qualifications:
- Procurement Leadership Team, Product Line procurement experience
- Leadership of the different Business Areas and Product Lines
- R&D and TDS (Technology, Digital and Sustainability)
- SQI/Quality
- Manufacturing
- Finance
- A seasoned procurement professional with vast experience in steel/mechanical categories and global environment
- A true leader and great communicator
- A person ready to constantly challenge status quo.
- MSc degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Management, MBA or Equivalent
- Strong team player
- Flexible and self-driven
- Strategic approach and open-minded person focus on finding solutions and on continuous improvement
- Strong soft skills in managing relationships with both external and internal stakeholders inside a global environment and at different hierarchical levels
