Associate Director/GM – Projects & Construction (Solar)

Reporting to the VP & Country Manager – India, the Associate Director/ GM Projects & Construction plays a critical role in leading & coordinating construction and delivery of the company’s solar projects.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Managing all aspects related to construction of PV solar projects till commissioning. Responsible for leading teams for the EPC aspects of projects across multiple sites
• Responsible for construction and commissioning of solar power plants across sites. Overall in charge of managing all projects adhering to target schedule, cost and performance
• Managing and leading multiple projects across the country particularly in Maharashtra and Karnataka
• Project Management of solar power plants including coordinating with Land, Design, Erection, Commissioning and Maintenance teams
• Managing and reviewing the progress of project sites including Technology Selection, Civil and mechanical structures, System Configuration, Electrical Connection, Distribution and Control Systems, Power Conditioning Systems for photovoltaic power plants
• Responsible for complete project management through the installation, testing and commissioning of the system
• Leading a team of site engineers and project managers to ensure timelines and quality adherence
• Ensuring that the project delivered on schedule with high quality and within the required cost

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
• Around 16-20 years of experience in IPP (preferable) in solar management; experience of leading a team is mandatory
• Leadership, excellent Project Management and results-oriented skills
• Efficient oral and written communication skills and a can-do approach to work
• Strong problem-solving ability

Location

• Job location for the above position is in Mumbai, India and will require travel to various Cleantech Solar sites and locations across different states in India
